Answer: To login to PHPMyAdmin or connect to your MySQL database, you must use your main account password and your account number (e.g. 1005). This number can be found in your account activation e-mail or in your account control panel.

I uploaded some files via FTP to my webspace but they disppeared after the upload completed, what happened?
Answer: Our free hosting server system restricts what file extensions you may upload to prevent this service to be used for hosting warez, pirated MP3's or other non-website related files. If you believe we have blocked a file extension that your website requires to function, please post on our forums.

I signed up for an account, but where do I put the ad code on my site?
Answer: For forums and other active content websites where the top banner ad does not display automatically, you must manually place the ad code from http://www.hostinginfive.com/code.html to the top of each page on your site. For forums, look for files named "overall_header.tpl" in the templates folder or other similar names.

My account has been suspended, how could this have happened?
Answer: Users that exceed their bandwidth or storage limits or violate our TOS will have their accounts automatically suspended. If you believe your account has been suspended in error, please post on our forums to have your account re-enabled.

When I visit my website, a "Forbidden" page shows up, how can I make my site visible?
Answer: To avoid the forbidden error, make sure that your welcome index page to your site is named index.html index.htm or index.php. HostingInFive's server denies directory listings, so if there is no index.* file present, then the Forbidden error will remain.

When I try to sign up for an account, I receive an error: "No more that one account per person, please contact admin for more information". I have not signed up for an account yet why am I receiving this error?
Answer: You may be receiving this error if your ISP uses shared IP addresses for their subscribers. To get around the problem, attempt to sign up from a different computer with a different connection to the internet. If this is not an option try using one of the many CGIProxy sites on the internet to sign up through.

How can I access my FTP space?
Answer: You may access your FTP space by typing the following into your web browser: ftp://yourname.hostinginfive.com:yourpassword@yourname.hostinginfive.com replacing "yourname" and "yourpassword" with your own information.

I signed up for an account and click on the link in my e-mail to verify my account, but I received this error message: "Unable to find your domain name for confirmation, SQL error, feel free to Contact Us." How can I verify my account?
Answer: This error has likely been caused because you delayed more than an hour to verify your account, and your free hosting application was removed from our system queue. You'll need to re-sign up from our website and proceed to verify your account right after you submit the registration form.

I cannot login to my account, it says I have the wrong password, why is this?
Answer: There are a few possible answers to this common question, the first one is that you did not complete the verification of your account from the e-mail sent to your address.
